Back to School, Bike and Walk to School

The Walk and Roll Club is back!

Start the school year off right by joining the Netcong Walk and Roll Club.

On Walk and Roll Wednesdays, students and parents are encouraged to leave the car at home and take walk or ride a bike to school . . .

• for health

• for the environment

• for safer streets

Netcong Elementary students that walk or bike to school on these days will receive a backpack charm. Students can walk from home or join one of two walking buses anywhere along a designated route. See the tab at the top of this page for the walking school bus map. Meet at the Netcong Train Station or DiRenzo Park at 8:00am and join your friends to walk together.

The Wednesday Walk & Roll events for 2012 and 2013 are:

November 21: Turkey Trot
December 12: Penguin Walk
March 20: Lucky Walk & Roll
April 24: I heart the Earth Walk & Roll
May 22: Sneaker Day Walk & Roll
June 19: Clean Air Walk & Roll

Save the Date for a Bike Rodeo:
When: Friday, October 5 (rain date Friday, October 12) 
Time: 2:50-6 pm
Location: back parking lot of Netcong Elementary School
Bring: You child's bike and helmet. Bikes can be parked in bike racks at the back of the building next to the BOE offices.
