Club Events for 2010-2011

The Walk and Roll Club is back!

Start the school year off right by joining the Netcong Walk and Roll Club.





On Walk and Roll Wednesdays, students and parents are encouraged to leave the car at home and take walk or ride a bike to school . . .

• for health

• for the environment

• for safer streets

Netcong Elementary students will receive a Walk and Roll Club card. Each time you participate in a Club event, bring the card to the front of the school and get a hole punch. Parents are encouraged but not required to participate. Students can walk from home or join one of three walking buses anywhere along a designated route. See the tab at the top of this page for the walking school bus map.

The events for 2010 and 2011 are:

September 15, 2010: Cat Walk
October 20, 2010: "Too Cool to Do Drugs" PTA Walk-a-Thon
November 17, 2010: Use your Brain Walk & Roll
December 15, 2010: Jingle Bell Walk
January 19, 2011: Penguin Walk
February 16, 2011: Stop in the Name of Love Walk
March 16, 2011: Lucky Walk & Roll
April 13, 2011: Walk & Roll for the Earth
May 18, 2011: Sneaker Day Walk & Roll
June 15, 2011: Clean Air Walk & Roll

Also, several PTA fundraisers coincide with Walk & Roll Club events.
Please mark your calendars and plan to dine at the following restaurants:

Sept. 15- Chili's Bar & Grill in the Mt. Olive Trade Zone

December 15- Chili's Bar & Grill in the Mt. Olive Trade Zone

January 19- Bensi in the Roxbury Mall

April 13- Bensi in the Roxbury Mall

Restaurants will donate 10% of proceeds to Netcong School
