Join us on
Friday, October 7
for The World is Walking Walk & Roll Club

We are celebrating the 20th Anniversary of
International Walk to School Day with Mayor Nametko!

Join Mayor Joseph Nametko
at the Netcong Train Station at 7:45am
to walk to school with the mayor

Walk on your own or join the mayor at the Netcong Train Station. Netcong Elementary students who walk or bike to school will receive a backpack charm. Charms will be handed out in front of the school by the flag pole before the 8:15 am bell.

International Walk and Bike to School Day gives children, parents, school teachers and community leaders an opportunity to be part of a global event as they celebrate the many benefits of walking and bicycling. Walkers and cyclists from around the world walk and bike to school together for various reasons — all hoping to create communities that are safe places to walk and bike.

Our Goal: No cars at drop-off!

Celebrate with students all over New Jersey by walking and bicycling to school! Watch this video.

Bike racks are located at the back of the school by the Board of Education building. Wear a helmet, bring a lock and come around to the front of the school to pick up a celebratory backpack charm.
